The Role
SGQ is seeking experienced and motivated Civil Construction Labourers to join our construction teams delivering projects across the Fraser Coast and Wide Bay region.
Working alongside Supervisors, Operators and Leading Hands, you will contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of project works while maintaining SGQ’s commitment to quality and teamwork.
SGQ’s Hervey Bay pipeline is strong, with a diverse portfolio of road and bridge works, civil infrastructure, local government and public utility projects both underway and planned across the region. This provides long-term opportunities for skilled personnel seeking stable employment, career development and exposure to a variety of project types.
What We’re Looking For
We are seeking applicants who have demonstrated experience in civil construction or a related industry, including one or more of the following:
- Pipe laying and drainage
- Use of field survey equipment (e.g. GNSS Rover)
- General civil construction labouring
- Road construction and earthworks
- Concrete works
And who can demonstrate:
- Possession of General Construction Induction Card and current Driver Licence (mandatory)
- A strong commitment to safety and quality
- The ability to work effectively within a project team
- A reliable work ethic and positive attitude
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
