Accommodation Precinct, Calliope, Gladstone Region – Central Queensland (2011)

This $45 million package of works, delivered for the Maroon Group, involved the design and construction of civil and supporting infrastructure for Stage 1 of a 2,500‑room construction accommodation camp at Calliope. The facility was developed to support the Gladstone region and the broader resources sector.

Scope of Work

  • 40,000 m³ of earthworks
  • 7,500 m³ of road base construction
  • 3,200 metres of kerbing
  • 2,300 metres of stormwater drainage
  • Two water reservoirs
  • 8,300 m² of concrete pavements
  • 1,000 tonnes of DG14 asphalt surfacing

  • Street Lighting Infrastructure
  • 2500+ room Worker accommodation village
  • 240 Double Storey Accommodation Units
  • Central dining and mess facilities (1200 man)
