SGQ continue to engage Apprentices and Traineeships in each of our project regions, across a range of Civil Construction and Business Management disciplines, providing young people the opportunity to achieve a rewarding career in civil construction.

Upskilling and Development Opportunities for existing staff remains imperative to our organizational capability and workforce retention strategy. Staff are provided regular opportunities in a wide variety of vocations, including but not limited to Project Mgmt, WHS, Traffic Management (Implementation and Design), Specialist Plant Operation, Environmental Management (ESC/CPESC), Site Management (First Aid, Emergency Warden) and Electrical Safety (T0911, Pre-Excavation Mgmt, Overhead Awareness).

This in turn allows the fostering of a diverse, inclusive workplace, as well as a strong community.

We recognise our offices locations and project operational centres provide a significant opportunity to increase the skills and economic participation of a diverse demographic of people. This includes candidates in remote/regional areas, indigenous Australians and women in the civil construction industry. We continue to meet and strive to exceed our EEO targets.
