Coral Cove Estate, Bundaberg

Coral Cove Estate (Stages 1 & 2), Bundaberg, Qld (2023-2024)

The $8.6m package involved complete construction of 80 residential lots on the doorstep of Bundaberg’s Barolin Esplanade, Coral Cove region. The project forms part of the future 1200 lot master planned estate (set to include a reconfigured 18-hole golf course, retail centre and tourism precinct). The project was delivered for Devcore Property Group / Coral Cove Communities.

Scope of Work

Complete Estate development Construction: 

  • Stripping top soil (12,987m3 
  • Bulk earthworks (18,183m3 cut to fill & 9,437m3 cut to stockpile 
  • Installation of 1691m of stormwater drainage. Particularly the 1200mm line which was 297m and over 4m deep alongside existing houses through rock and crossing under live rising sewer main 
  • Removal of Volcanic Rock which was used to fill the old quarry (0ver 889m3)  
  • Design & Construct Concrete Sleeper Retaining Wall (465m 
  • Installation of Sewer Gravity Mains (1623m with 45 manholes)  
  • 100mm & 150mm water mains (1289m)  
  • Construction of concrete structures associated with drainage, road furnishings 
  • Placement of granular pavement material (10,200ton 
  • Constructing of sediment basins  
  • Supply and placement of asphalt and bituminous surfacing 
  • Installation of relevant road furnishings 

Notable Aspects

  • Investment in Hydraulic Ripper to remove rock
  • Design & Construct of over 400m of concrete sleeper retaining walls
  • Use of Ground support systems for deep excavations
  • Successful Community Management with project footprint situated within the active community golf course
